Equip yourself with the knowledge and tools to have the most successful season of racing to date! Join Finish Line Physical Therapy as we invite some of the top running experts in the city for an afternoon of FREE presentations and panel discussions to help you #FindYourFinishLine and get motivated for the fall marathon season. This event is for all levels and abilities; come for a couple of presentations or stay for the whole afternoon!


Are you competing at NYRR Team Champs or running long in the morning? Come recover with us! Use our showers to freshen up, sign up for a slot in the compression sleeves and join us for Happy Hour at 4:30 p.m., as we celebrate the joy of running.

RUN IN THE MORNING THEN JOIN US FOR A FREE AFTERNOON OF LEARNING!

Functional Strength Class

Get ready to sweat! Taught by the expert physical therapists at FLPT, this workout will start with the foundational tools for an effective warm-up [mobility, dynamic stretching, 3D running drills] followed by a strength workout that focuses on the muscle groups runners need the most to generate power and speed.

 

*This session will be capped at 30 people.

Training with VDOT: How to Determine Appropriate Training Paces

• Brian Rosetti - founder & coach, The Run SMART Project

 

Legendary coach Dr. Jack Daniels coined the term "VDOT" back in the 70s, and it continues to be a benchmark for training. Find out what VDOT refers to and how you can use it in training to eliminate the guesswork and avoid overtraining.

How Cycling Helps Your Marathon Training

Is it possible to effectively train for a marathon by running less and cycling more? Can you balance the two—and still run fast in the process? We'll discuss the benefits of cycling for runners and how to incorporate it into a training block.

Brain Training: Improve Performance by Strengthening Your Mind

Achieving success in a race is more than logging miles; it's about training the whole being. Utilizing the principles of PSYCH-K, you'll learn how to identify and change subconscious beliefs that can inhibit performance.

What does it take to run your best race? Strava Running has analyzed data from thousands of runners in the 12 weeks leading up to their races and found interesting trends based on their finishing times. A panel of top coaches from the NYC running community will discuss the results of Strava's analysis - and what it means for you as an athlete.
